Journal
I was eating my breakfast and reading November's
Imagine FX issue, thinking that maybe I should read the rest later. I just happened to turn another page (to page 28) before I was going to close it when ....... WHHHHAAAATTTTTTT!!!!!! .... I saw my own name!!!
Turns out that my site over at ImagineFX was featured in their fave art sites section. It's just a small mention but I received quite a cool description of my work too ....

Woohoo!

That is all!
Before my ego feels any of the effects. Hehe.
Oh and in a 'crap news' update! And probably the way the universe balances out my good news. Yes, I have recently become the victim of art theft!

This actually happened first, but two of my pics, namely
Paradise Bliss and
In A Haze Of Purple Flowers, were taken by someone (who shall remain nameless) and had their watermarks removed. Not only that, but the person also removed my artist signatures ... something that was pretty much the extra twist of the knife already in my back. The fact that it was sooooo evident isn't even the point but they were letting people download them for wallpapers as well without permission.
Luckily for this person, they decided to remove them after I sent a message but the fact that this person didn't even know what they had done wrong was completely surprising. I found myself explaining the ins and outs of copyright theft. It's ridiculous that someone would not know the situation being in the information age that we are in. I mean most people know it's wrong to take things from others when they are a toddler, let alone an adult.
I've left some time between this happening and posting it in my journal because ... well ... my journal would not have been polite. I've also been forced to put the large copyright markings on my work until I find another way, which I am currently looking in to. Hope that you can bear with that for the moment.
So, currently I feel the need to provide a couple of links for anyone passing by who needs to know the facts

:
Design and Artists Copyright Society
Intellectual Property Office - CopyrightThese are UK sites so if anyone has any other links for copyright in other countries, I will be pleased to post them here in my journal as well. Read up people!!! It's not right to take art work without the permission of the artist.

Commissions
I'm thinking of updating these soon to make them much simpler. Maybe just a choice of three or something along those lines. However, I intend on keeping the prices relatively the same.
