This is a quick drawing done with pencil (various 2B and 5B etc). It was basically done to visualise an idea and also, I wanted to do something that didn't include a figure. Though I was really tempted and I had a great pose in mind, but it had to be this way (maybe I'll put it in later).

This drawing is related to my 'Killing Machines' painting, and continues the concept further. It contains my organic/metal hybrid machine but with slight alterations. I do prefer the one in the painting but again, this is only an idea sketch on A4.

It's rough around the edges but I hope it's enjoyable.

Used Pencil and A4

oh wow!!.. way cool sci-fi!!.. the compoud eyes remind me of the movie "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind".. studio Ghibli movie.. if you haven't seen it check it out!..

I haven't seen that one, but I've only recently been working my way through the Studio Ghibli movies. I will try to get my hands on that one now. Thank you for the great comment. :D

another great pencil piece.... in this age of everything being digitalized, it is refreshing to see some nice pencil work.... this is a great piece, it compliments your earlier one nicely.

Oh thank you for saying so. For a long time, I believed that digital art was too easy, mainly because when it first came out many people were just cutting and pasting the images and I hated the thought of that. The more complex it has become though, the more it has appealed to me. However, no matter how much I love doing digital pictures right now, I still want to produce some traditional ones. Hopefully I can get around to that very soon ... pencils included!

I'm glad to know that you think it works with the earlier work. :D :thanks:
