nice use of perspective, and a wonderful expression. The idea itself is very creative, and expresses to mood well.

The only slight issue I have, is that it looks almost like the rose is floating upwards (the way the water is painted looks like surface reflections).
I don't know if this is what you were aiming for, or not, but it would certainly suit the mood more if she were diving down towards it - going deeper, knowing that she'll either have to give up or drown...

(unless she's a mermaid, of course, in which case floating up might have more meaning. However the sense of not being able to reach it is lost, as the view feels that soon it will reach the surface and stop moving away...)
