This is a commission piece for
I hope you enjoy it and remember to press full view. This is of his original characters, Verali'dyn and Caldur, based on a scene from his own story. I decided to use a colour palette that would show the forest through the female elf's eyes (Verali'dyn) since she is able to see in the dark and the man, being human, cannot. I had so much fun creating this and it was a great experience. I definitely learned a lot in the process. CC: Biggest thing I noticed is how "stiff" the man looks. Where you've really captured a sense of movement in the girl's movements with her pose and the way her hair/clothes are flying behind her, his pose and face could really be more "free". Also, both of them seem kind of "copy-and-pasted" into the scenery; Maybe place more emphasis on their shadows/make their feet touch the grass to make the characters and background seem "connected"?
Otherwise, though, super-great job; The motion blur on the figures is a nice touch.
12000 x 7722!? Holy crap, I don't know how your computer can take it. x x;; Then again, my old PC is like, seven years old, so...

It's interesting to know what you see without the context of the story though. I would like to know if you think any differently with it. You know I love critique.
I am really pleased you like it. The clothes as well as the background. I was given the choice to illustrate that as I wanted. I'm really trying to get more into backgrounds so it was a great learning process. I may do a desktop one at some point, if I can get it to look just as nice. I tend to paint backgrounds with less constraint .. maybe I need to do that with my figures. I don't know.
Yes, huge size! My computer's from the past year and I just added some more memory, but it still required a lot of sitting around waiting for it to save. Not good!
Thank yooouu mate!
